Title: Riches to Rags
Author: Casey L. Bond
Genre: YA Epic Fantasy, Fairy Tale Retelling (Cinderella)
Publication Date: Nov. 3rd, 2017
Hosted by: Lady Amber’s PR
Official Cover Reveal coming Friday, Sept. 3rd, 2017!!!
Blurb: Most girls dream of being princesses, but one princess just wants to be a normal girl.
Ella Carina, crown princess of Aelawyn, knows brutality and lies—she’s seen the way her father rules. Princess. Possession. To her father, the words had the same meaning. She was only as valuable as the alliance formed with her betrothal. Her freedom comes from an unlikely place: an attack on the castle.
When the conquering King offers to protect her from the betrothal her father arranged for political gain, she consents. Hiding her within a peasant family is the only way to keep her and her secret safe.
In this simpler life, Ella flourishes and catches the eye of the local Blacksmith’s son. For once, she can be herself and make her own choices, but the life of a princess—even one kept secret—was never meant to be easy.
Trevor, crown prince of Galder has been searching for Ella, but not because of their betrothal. She is in grave danger from the very people who hid her away. His plan is to show her the truth and help her to safety.
Nothing goes as planned. When Trevor finds her, it’s to discover she’s fallen in love with a peasant. Now he has two goals: help her regain her throne… and show her that she belongs with him.
Award-winning author Casey L. Bond resides in Milton, West Virginia with her husband and their two beautiful daughters. When she’s not busy being a domestic goddess and chasing her baby girls, she loves to write young adult and new adult fiction.

I was in my room, lost in my own worries, when the world as I knew it was torn to shreds.
My room was large, and with only a bed and wardrobe inside, it was far too spacious than anything I needed. But it was also my sanctuary. It had to be. Father didn’t allow me to leave the space without an escort, and only then when he gave me permission, which wasn’t often. I considered myself lucky to have a window until that day.
The horrors I saw from that window would stay with me forever.
Sitting quietly in the alcove, watching the comings and goings of the villagers, was how I learned the ever-changing styles in fashion and beauty, how gentlemen and ladies were to properly act, and how some acted very improperly when they thought no one was watching.
The day the Kingdom of Aelawyn fell, I was watching and envying the lives of her people.
Nothing seemed amiss as three large, covered wagons approached the front gate. The man driving the horses that pulled the lead wagon shouted to the guard atop the gate, announcing that they carried supplies, taken from another forest raid. They were granted immediate entry, Father’s guard raising the portcullis for them.
One by one, the wagons crept into the yard. As soon as the gate slammed back to the ground behind the third wagon, a loud whoop sounded. The guards were stunned, so much so that it took far too long for them to spring into action and defend the castle. The wagon canvases were torn to shreds as a small army, clad in armor and donning swords, shields, and all manner of weaponry, unfolded from the wagons and began to slash their way across the yard.
They did not take time to discern villager from soldier, male from female, innocent from guilty.
A river of blood flowed in their wake, draining between the cobblestones. They were so skilled and efficient in battle that they entered the castle before any alarm could be raised to stop them. In no time, they’d taken the castle itself.

Amnesty by Cambria Hebert Book Blitz

Amnesty
Cambria Hebert
(Amnesia, #2)
Publication date: August 18th 2017
Genres: Adult, Romance, Suspense
There’s freedom in remembering.
My past is a double-edged sword.
Damned if I remember; damned if I don’t.
Recollection beyond the horrors I already have will change me. Change us.
But what if I’m living a lie? What if everything I believe is wrong?
What if who I thought I was isn’t real?
If not her, then…
Who am I?
Eddie says it doesn’t matter, but deep down, I’m terrified it does.
I’m trapped. Held prisoner by a past I can’t remember and a future that may not belong to me.
There’s a light, though not at the end of the tunnel…
It’s wavering in the distance, calling to me from Rumor Island.
That light, it scares me far more than darkness. Am I brave enough to confront it?
So many questions, so few answers.
I don’t have a choice; the truth always finds a way to the surface.
Finally learning who I truly am will be a permanent life sentence.
Total punishment or absolute amnesty.

Blog Tour: The Invasion by T.H. Hernandez

Today we have the blog tour for THE INVASION by T.H. Hernandez! Check out this fantastic new dystopian romance and grab your copy today!

About The Invasion:

They failed. Evan and Cyrus risked everything to keep the Uprising from attacking the unarmed Union, but something went terribly wrong. Evan’s home has been invaded by soldiers who are killing government officials and occupying the homes of her fellow citizens.   Captured by the Uprising, Evan fights for her life and her sanity, desperate to escape so she can find Cyrus and her family.   Reeling from an unexpected discovery, Cyrus is adrift until he uses his Uprising training to find a way to fight back against the invading force the only way he knows how.   With the help of old friends and new, they will do whatever it takes to protect each other and those they love, even if it means sacrificing being together, their way of life, and even their very lives.

Excerpt:
My shivering body drags me from peaceful oblivion back into the unbearable hell of consciousness. A puddle of frigid water spreads out across the concrete floor like an ink blot, cubes of ice scattered. I clamp my jaw shut to stop the chattering of my teeth.
A pair of brown leather boots comes into view. “We’re wasting our time,” comes a deep male voice I don’t recognize. “She serves no purpose. Dispose of her.”
Fear chills my insides to match my outsides.
“Wait!” Draya says.
The boots pivot and recede. Draya’s voice is low and hushed, making it impossible to hear what she’s saying.
“Fine,” the deep voice says again. “You’ve got a day. If you don’t get anything out of her by then, move on. We have bigger fish to fry.”
Someone lifts me to standing, supporting me from behind, which is good, since I’m not sure I can stand on my own. I let out an involuntary groan and silently curse myself. It’s not like they can’t tell by looking at me how messed up I am, but my ability to not react may be the only thing I’m in control of at the moment.
“Did you blow up the camps?” Draya asks.
Her face wavers, refusing to come into focus. My mouth moves but nothing comes out. A boot connects with my shin. This time, I keep my screams in my head.
Draya’s next words are slurred, or maybe only to me. “Were you involved in what happened in the camps in March?”
I weigh my options. If I want to live, I need to give them something. Might as well cop to this. They can’t kill me twice. I nod.
“Now we’re getting somewhere.” The satisfied smirk I can’t see is evident in her voice. “You didn’t do it alone. Who was with you?”
“No one,” I croak, finding my voice.
“As much as I’m enjoying this, I really would rather not have to do it. It’s taking too long. Just tell me who was with you.”
“No one. It was only me.”
A blow to my back knocks me forward and a sharp, blinding pain darkens my vision as I slump to the floor.
“How did you do it?” Draya’s voice penetrates the darkness.
The cool concrete beneath my cheek is soothing, and I see no benefit in getting up. “I bought…explosives and a motorbike…in the Northern Territories.” I drag in a painful breath. “It was easy to sneak in. The Uprising taught me everything I needed to know. It was easier than you might think.”
“That’s a nice story, but I don’t believe you. You couldn’t have been in multiple locations at once.”
“I used timing devices.” The silence that follows my statement is more unnerving than the beatings, but I don’t dare open my eyes, instead curling inward to protect my vital organs.
“Where did you learn to do that? That’s not covered in Uprising training.”
Crap, I don’t have an answer for that, and I let my body go limp, trying to buy myself some time. The fact that I’m barely holding on to consciousness as it is may help me sell it. Ice water hits my face again, and I sputter, but stay on the floor.
“Where did you learn about explosives and timing devices?” Draya asks, her tone measured, as if she’s working hard to remain clam.
I lick my lips. “From some people…in the Northern Territories.”
“What people?”
“Just…people.”
“What were you doing up there?” Genuine curiosity laces her voice.
“Looking for a way to bring down the Uprising.”
“How did you escape?”
I’ve had some time to think about this answer. “I pretended to like one of the sentries and visited him when he was on duty. When I was ready to leave, I incapacitated him.”
“I think we have everything we need,” Hercules One says. “Loyolla will be happy.”
“Not yet,” Draya says, her words sharp. “Give me a second.”
Warm breath tickles my skin and I crack an eye to find Draya’s face next to mine. “We know who you are, Evan Taylor, we took your fingerprint. We also have a pretty good idea where you escaped from. The commander from that camp is missing, and I think you know where he is.”
Dread ices my body more than any cold water could and my breath stalls in my lungs.
A satisfied smile pulls at the corners of her mouth. “She still has much to offer us, much more than Loyolla ever imagined.”

Review:
Stacey Rourke and Tish Thawer are awesome authors on their own but put them together and you have a whole new dynamic! There story is intriguing ,witty, captivating and inventive! I love the precept of how the Anomalies came about especially since it's not that far of a stretch to think the government would do something like that to the water. I mean adding things to the drinking water to try make population healthy should be a good thing, right? But it unforeseen and unwanted conqences. Now Evan is in trouble and Thia and her other anomaly friends must band together to find him but they may find more than they bargained for. So embark on an adventure with a group of friends plagued with "gifts" they must learn to accept and control while facing a threat they never saw coming.

Guarding Eden Review Blitz with Cameo Renae

Title: Guarding Eden (A Midway Novel)
Author: Cameo Renae
Genre: YA Fantasy
Publisher: CHBB
Cover Designer: Stefanie Saw
Hosted by: Lady Amber's PR
Blurb:
***The Midway Novels are spin-offs of the Hidden Wings Series, but each book can be read as a standalone.***
Tucked away at an upscale, private boarding school in Brindle Hollow, Washington, seventeen-year-old Eden East comes face to face with a hideous creature on her walk back to her dorm. Shaken to her core, she's left questioning the world around her, and soon finds herself entering a friendship with a hot, new student named Alexander.
Little does she know, Alex is a Guardian Angel, sent from Midway to protect her from those dangerous creatures—known as Darkling—lurking in the forest outside Brindle Hall. It isn’t long before Alex learns this is no ordinary assignment. Eden’s existence holds a secret; something hidden from even herself.
Eden is thrust into a world where Fallen angels and creatures of the Underworld will stop at nothing to catch her. With Alex at her side and a little help from some of his old friends, they form a formidable front against the enemy.
Hopefully, it’s not too little, too late.
Books about angels have always intrigued me and Cameo sure knows how to write them! I was instantly captivated from the first page and couldn't put it down til the end! It has plenty of action and romance and of course suspense about who Eden really is and why is she being hunted by demons. Is it juat a coincidence or is there something bigger going on? Can Alex figure it out and keep her safe? Calling on some old friends may give them a fighting chance against the evil ones but will it be enough?

Salt Release Day Blitz with Pauline Creeden

Title: Salt - a mermaid tale
Author: Pauline Creeden
Genre: YA Fantasy/Myth
Hosted by: Lady Amber's Reviews & PR

Blurb: Her kind treats her as less-than-human, but she’s always been so much more.
Mermaid life has never been easy for Verona. Her scars give evidence of her abuse. When her day of reckoning arrives, she is determined to endure exile. According to her father’s experience, exile is better than becoming a land-walker and risking her life among the humans.
However, when she saves the life of a drowning human boy, she inadvertently sets off a chain of events which force her to choose a path: stay with the humans she has become attached to or return home to a life of scorn. A savage hunter draws closer, threatening even the humans. Her only hope is to keep everyone safe until the next full moon, but those around her devise their own plans.
In simple language, Pauline Creeden creates worlds that are both familiar and strange, often pulling the veil between dimensions. She becomes the main character in each of her stories, and because she has ADD, she will get bored if she pretends to be one person for too long. Pauline is a horse trainer from Virginia, but writing is her therapy.
Armored Hearts, her joint effort with author Melissa Turner Lee, has been awarded the Crowned Heart for Excellence by InDtale Magazine. It is also the 2013 Book Junkie's Choice Winner in Historical Fiction. Her debut novel, Sanctuary, won 1st Place Christian YA Title 2013 Dante Rosetti Award and 2014 Gold Award for Best YA Horror Novel.
